know or no know?
“To you has been given a knowledge of the mysteries of the reign of God, but it has not been given to the others. To the man who has, more will be given until he grows rich.” —Matthew 13:11-12
Now more than ever, the Lord wants to give us “a knowledge of the mysteries of the reign of God” (Mt 13:11). The Lord commands us: “Call to Me, and I will answer you; I will tell to you things great beyond reach of your knowledge” (Jer 33:3).
If you are considered insignificant by the world, Jesus is especially interested in revealing to you the glory of His kingdom. Jesus continues to rejoice “in the Holy Spirit” and say: “I offer You praise, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because what You have hidden from the learned and the clever You have revealed to the merest children” (Lk 10:21).
If you want to hear God, go to the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass and receive Holy Communion daily or as often as possible. Forgive those who have offended you. Go to Confession monthly. Pray at a certain time each day. Pray especially with your spouse and family (see Mt 18:20). Be quiet for a little while each day. Jesus is whispering to you (see 1 Kgs 19:12). When you hear Him, Jesus will say to you: “Blest are your eyes because they see and blest are your ears because they hear. I assure you, many a prophet and many a saint longed to see what you see but did not see it, to hear what you hear but did not hear it” (Mt 13:16-17).
Prayer: Father, say anything to me — even things I don’t want to hear.
Promise: “I remember the devotion of your youth, how you loved Me as a bride.” —Jer 2:2
Praise: St. Bridget, patroness of Europe, was the mother of eight, including a canonized saint, St. Catherine of Sweden.
