2:15 pm - Panel discussion, Q&A “Where do you find the most challenges and the best successes in your life roles as:
Daughter - How has living as a beloved daughter of the Father shaped your identity? “Her body and soul are fashioned less to fight and to conquer than to cherish, guard, and preserve.” - St. Edith Stein
Sister - Women have a great capacity for personal presence and attentiveness which dramatically strengthens the role of a true sister in Christ.
Mother - Mary’s YES in Luke 1:38 reveals the heart of motherhood, in sacrifice and trust. How does having a special closeness to the “mystery of the person” shape the way you see your children or young people who have been entrusted to you?
Wife or Spiritual Bride - How does feminine receptivity and strength coexist in this role?
Friend - How can women uniquely live out Christ-centered friendships even with persons who are not believers? (John 15:15)
Other important roles women have:
Women in the World - How do you integrate your faith into your professional life? How do you see a woman’s “feminine genius” lived out in careers, ministries, in society by women you know?
Woman and the Cross - Mary and her female companions stood at the foot of the Cross with St. John. How has suffering deepened your faith and your understanding of authentic love and shaped your vocation as a daughter, sister, mother, wife, or friend?
Woman of Hope - Women were the first witnesses of the Resurrection (Luke 24:1-10). How are women called to bring hope and faith to a wounded world today, especially to younger generations?
Which saintly women have most influenced your understanding of womanhood, and why?
Panel discussion members: Lynn Hammersmith, Jeanie Stephens, Rose Young
3:30 pm – Wrap up, with prayer teams available for personal prayer
