Dear Father Lauer:

Bishop Garland has forwarded to me a copy of "The Statutes of Our Lady of Presentation Communities and Ministries". I am grateful for the effort that has gone into formulating the statutes and for the cooperation with Bishop Garland in shaping them.

The Church encourages the Christian faithful to form associations dedicated to the apostolate in collaboration with the Church's pastors. An association like Presentation Ministries is clearly a response to that call. I am, therefore, happy to recognize Presentation Ministries as a private association operating within the Archdiocese of Cincinnati.

The success of the association will depend on its being attuned
to the guidance of the Holy Spirit, its fidelity to the teachings of the Church and its acceptance of direction from proper ecclesiastical authority. It will also be important for the leaders of Presentation Ministries to cooperate with local pastors and for its members to be active in regular parochial life.

I want to take this occasion to thank you for your priestly work within Presentation Ministries and other ministries. Please know that I will keep you and Presentation Ministries in my prayers. I ask that you and the other members of Presentation Ministries pray for me.
