the year of multiplication-miracles

Jesus "took the five loaves and two fish, looked up to heaven, blessed and broke them and gave the loaves to the disciples, who in turn gave them to the people. All those present ate their fill." —Matthew 14:19-20

Jesus multiplied the loaves and fish. (He did not merely get people to share their lunches.) Jesus is the same today (Heb 13:8), and He continues to do this miracle of multiplication. While many people in the world need the multiplication of food, all of us need the multiplication of time, energy, patience, and power. There are almost two billion Christians to feed spiritually, and four billion people to lead to Jesus. We have millions of babies to save from abortion and countless others to save from injustice, war, oppression, and euthanasia. The harvest is greater than ever, and the workers continue to be few (Mt 9:37).

We need miracles — miracles of multiplication. Otherwise, how will you make all five of your children disciples of Jesus? How will you make your marriage a glorious sign of Christ's love for the Church? How will we raise up thousands of missionaries and fund their work? How will we stop Planned Parenthood from propagandizing poor countries with taxpayers' money? If the Lord doesn't work miracles of multiplication, we won't see His promises fulfilled.

Give Jesus your entire self. He will do the miracle of multiplication, and we will have the Great Jubilee.
