catholic retreat: living the beatitudes during this pandemic

Jesus said, “Blest are you poor; the reign of God is yours.” (Luke 6:20)

Because "the Beatitudes are at the heart of Jesus' preaching" (Catechism, 1716),

they are extremely important.  “The beatitudes are ‘paradoxical promises’ which

confront us with decisive choices concerning earthly goods" (CCC 1717, 1728)

Let us learn to live and love the Beatitudes.

notes:

We are living through unprecedented times - a culture that has become very anti-Christianity, a pandemic that has isolated us from the rest of the Body of Christ... What can we do? Why has the Lord allowed this at this time in history? How can we respond? Can these challenges be veiled opportunities for tremendous growth in holiness? This retreat will be an all-inclusive experience for entire families, your close friends that you may have been keeping in contact with, as well as for all retreatants attending alone. We will provide individual as well as family-oriented thought-provoking questions for discussion or meditation after each talk as well as activity pages geared for younger family members. (There will be plenty of room at this very large venue to safely attend and remain socially-distant.)
