The 40-day Discipleship Formation is an intense study of the teachings of the Catholic Church and the Bible in the context of the sacraments and Christian community. The Formation consists of 13 retreats covering different aspects of discipleship. Most retreats are 3 days each. To complete the 40 days, a retreatant would attend one retreat on each of the different topics.

The Church encourages adult Catholics to renew their baptismal commitment through catechesis and formation similar to the RCIA/OCIA formation. Retreatants who wish to make a formal commitment to complete the 40-day Discipleship Formation, do so during a Mass after (s)he has attended 10 or more days of retreats. At that time, and at various stages of the formation, the retreatant will receive the prayers of the Church as a ceremony during Mass.
Everyone is welcome to attend Discipleship Formation retreats without making a commitment to complete the 40 days. However, to commit to the forty days offers the blessed opportunity to enter more deeply into a personal encounter with Jesus and to live our baptism to the full as promoted by Pope John Paul II in Christifideles Laici (CL).
This 40 day Discipleship Formation may fulfill part of the requirements of the Guadalupe Bible College curriculum. Ask for information on the GBC options.
