Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
Praise God the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit! Thanks for all you're doing to love and serve the Lord. Thanks for your support of Presentation Ministries.
We are in a great period of celebrations! We just celebrated Pentecost where we recall the descent of the Holy Spirit on our Blessed Mother and the Apostles. We celebrated the feast of the Most Holy Trinity (May 27) where God reveals Himself as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Next came the great Feast of Corpus Christi (June 3), where Jesus gives us His body, blood, soul, and divinity in the Most Holy Eucharist so He can be with us always (Mt 28:20; Jn 6:34). Now this month of June, we celebrate the great feasts of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus (June 8) and the Immaculate Heart of Mary (June 9).
All of these special feast days remind us of God's special love for us and His desire to be part of our lives. He died for us because He loves us and wants us to be in heaven with Him (Lk 15:7). Then He sent His Holy Spirit with His gifts to help us do His will. And finally, He gives us His body, blood, soul, and His divinity in the Eucharist because "God's greatest desire at the Mass is that we become the very thing we receive" (St. Augustine). Let us imitate the virtues of Mary for the purpose of uniting ourselves to her Sacred Son.
The Lord has fantastic plans for you. "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lond, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future" (see Jer 29:1 1). This very day, decide to listen to the Lord and spread the Good News to all around that Jesus is alive and working in your life, by just living out your life as God planned it.
"See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland" (see Is 43:19).
Thank you for distributing One Bread, One Body (OBOB) to family, friends, neighbors, parishes, cities, and dioceses. We all are missionaries for Christ! We invite you to use OBOB as a tool to witness for Jesus. Like our priests, we are all called to serve God's people in our vocation, whether "single for the Lord" or married, lay or clergy.
