Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
One Bread, One Body (OBOB) is distributed and translated which takes time and effort as well as generous contributions from our many readers; for all of this we are very thankful. It was always Fr. Al Lauer's desire as it is PM's that "no one should be denied the Word of God because of financial status." Fr. Al often said, "This book is not FREE, but all can afford it." We believe God will provide for our many ministries with the help of all.
For some reason, our finances are at a dangerously low point that in order to continue all of our ministries we have to cut some expenses. For example, we have already had to cut back the distribution of OBOB and our newly published Spanish version, Un Pan, Un Cuerpo. We ask that you please pray and evaluate your current donation to Presentation Ministries that we may be able to continue to fully fund all our ministry activities. Can you give more to help others who can not? May God bless your generosity.
You might be reading this book thinking: how can I take care of all the things I have to do and still somehow make it to heaven? Instead, ask yourself: Am I following God's will in doing all that I am doing? If you are, then you have your answer. If you aren't, you might want to change your priorities. God wants us to be in heaven with him and died on the cross to cleanse us from our sin (1 Jn 1:7). But we need to respond to Jesus' call by denying ourselves and taking up our cross and following Him (Mt 16:24) and by praying always (1 Th 5:17).
Mary is our model in deciding this response to the calling deep within us to follow God's will. This can be seen in her response to her call to be the Mother of God, Jesus. She wondered, just as you may be wondering, "How can this be?" (Lk 1:34). But her response as ours should be, "Let it be done according to your word."
Your brothers and sister in Jesus,
Deacon George Schmidl, Chris Jasek, Judy Erwin, Mark Mussman
