One Bread, One Body

All Issues > Volume 31, Number 1

Letter to Readers

Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

Happy Advent! We pray that you and all readers of One Bread, One Body (OBOB) will keep your "eyes fixed on Jesus, Who inspires and perfects our faith" (Heb 12:2) this Advent season. Mary and Joseph kept their eyes fixed on baby Jesus as He lay in the manger, as did the magi and the shepherds. Later the disciples kept their eyes fixed on Jesus as He taught them. Finally, Mary, John and some others kept their eyes fixed on Jesus as He was crucified on the cross.

Let's not be distracted by the things of the world and thereby take our eyes off Jesus as we prepare for Christmas. Whether we are in good times or in bad, let's keep our eyes fixed on our Savior. During this Advent season, let's keep our eyes fixed on Jesus and expect that He will show us how to grow in faith, hope and love.

Thank you for your prayers and sacrifices for Presentation Ministries (PM); they are precious to us. Thank you for sharing what you have received through OBOB with your family, co-workers, parishioners, and friends. Thank you for your financial support for PM. This book is not free, but all can afford it. We ask you to listen to the Holy Spirit about what donation to make.

During Advent, we often hear God's callings for our lives. Is the Lord calling you to join PM as a "co-worker"? Is He calling you to bring our radio program, Daily Bread, to your local radio station? Perhaps He is asking you to start a PM Bible Telephone line in your city. Or maybe He is asking you to systematically study the Catholic faith through Guadalupe Bible College. Contact us at (513) 662-5378 or visit presentationministries.com for more information about any of the items above. Let's pray with Mary that we will "do whatever [Jesus] tells" us (Jn 2:5).

May God bless you abundantly!

Your brothers and sister in Jesus,
Deacon George Schmidl, Chris Jasek, and Judy Erwin
