Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
Praise Jesus, our Lord! As you open this issue of One Bread, One Body (OBOB) we pray that you are hungry — not physically hungry, but hungry for the word of God. We know that, one does not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes forth from the mouth of God (see Mt 4:4). We hope that through reading OBOB you will be led to participate in the Eucharist more frequently and more fully, where you will truly be nourished by the body and blood of Christ.
After you are fed by the Word you will likely have the desire to be nourished even more deeply. Possibly, the Lord may call you to then come to one of our Discipleship Retreats (937) 587-5464, to the Bible Institute or enroll in Guadalupe Bible College (440) 428-1016. The Lord will also likely give you the desire to be in community with other Christians. Presentation Ministries has a network of home-based Christian communities and resources on forming such communities. For information call the specific numbers listed above or call (513) 662-5378.
Many in the world are affected by a famine “for hearing the word of the Lord” (Am 8:11). Since you have been fed by the Word, the Lord is calling you to help end the famine by feeding some of His sheep (see Jn 21:17). You can use OBOB as a tool to help feed others the word of the Lord. Please share OBOB with your family, parish, co-workers, neighbors and friends. Thank you for your openness to feeding God’s people with His powerful word.
Your brothers and sister in Jesus,
Deacon George Schmidl, Mark Schuermann, Chris Jasek and Judy Erwin
