Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
Praise Jesus crucified and risen from the dead!
Thank God for giving us Lent, the opportunity to sacrifice for Jesus! This Lent, have you meditated upon the crucified Jesus? What do you see? Do you see a Jesus, Who, though He was God, "emptied Himself and took the form of a slave, being born in the likeness of men. He was known to be of human estate, and it was thus that He humbled Himself, obediently accepting even death, death on the cross?" (Phil 2:7-8) Do you see the love that Jesus has for you that he would suffer and die on the cross just to save you from damnation? Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do (Lk 23:34). Let us not ignore Jesus, but join in His sacrifice — not for His sake, but for our own sake, that we may accept the salvation He has earned for us. May we hear the words today, ''you will be with Me in Paradise" (Lk 23:43). Praise God!!! Let's conclude this Lenten season by giving ourselves to God and accepting God's mercy. We at Presentation Ministries (PM) are awed at the privilege of sharing God's word with you. Pray seriously about participating in our Discipleship Retreats or any of our ministries. Possibly you are called to form a branch of PM in your diocese. If so, call us at 513-922-9270 for information about forming Home Based Communities. We invite you to join us at our annual "Forty Hours devotion" to the Eucharist retreat which will begin with Mass on May 18th. Our annual Pentecost picnic (June 4th) will follow the novena starting on May 26th.
Finally, thanks for all you have done to increase the circulation of One Bread, One Body. More than ever, listen to the words of Mary: "Do whatever [Jesus] tells you" (Jn 2:5). We thank you for the financial support you provide for this booklet and for the work we do at Presentation Ministries.
