One Bread, One Body

Letter to Readers

Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

Praise God the Father, Jesus our Lord and Savior, and the Holy Spirit three in one!

Thanks for all you do in helping Presentation Ministries (PM) lead others to daily Mass and communion, thanks for sharing One Bread, One Body (OBOB) with others, and thanks for praying for more disciples to work in the harvest. We especially thank the full-time and part time workers at PM. Some of them have worked for more than 20 years without any payment in order to proclaim God's word to the ends of the earth. Are you being called to be a co-worker? Are you being called to serve God in a deeper way? God is calling all of us to be saints; to strive to be like Jesus in every way. If you want to know more about being a co-worker in PM, just call us at (513) 662-JESU.

If you are baptized, then you are a member of Christ's mystical body, which makes you brothers and sisters in Christ and heirs of heaven (Gal 3:27-29). Praise God! As members of Christ's body, we all have been given gifts and talents to share. Thank you for obeying the Holy Spirit in contributing to PM. We ask that each person make some offering for the copies of OBOB they receive. We pray that those who can give more will help out those who are not financially able to contribute much.

This is the first issue of OBOB written after the death of Fr. Al Lauer, founder of PM. We would like to reassure the readers of OBOB that, though Fr. Al has passed away, we at Presentation Ministries are continuing to produce OBOB in the same spirit as Fr. Al. You can rest assured that the contents of OBOB will be similar to what you have been accustomed to, as best as we are able to follow the Holy Spirit's lead. In this booklet, you will find that we will be using a combination of archived teachings from Fr. Al and new teachings from our contributing authors. Praise to the Holy Spirit for His heavenly aid in writing these! Nothing is impossible with God!

Our mission at PM will continue to be the mission Jesus called us to before He ascended into heavenó "Go therefore and make disciples of nations ... teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, to the close of the age" (Mt 28:19-20). With the aid of the Holy Spirit, we will be faithful to Jesus, His teachings, and His church. We will strive for holiness, urge Catholics to participate in daily Mass and communion, and proclaim God's prophetic word from the Eucharistic readings.

If you would like to know more about us and our mission, please look around our website or call us at 513 662-JESU. Here are some upcoming retreats and activities:

Oct 1-2 - Praying the Book of Psalms
Oct 16 - Workfest, working to complete the Discipleship Center
Oct 23 - Mother / Daughter Retreat
Nov 5-6 - Ethics of Life (teaching by Fr. Don McCarthy)
Nov 20 - Men's Retreat
Dec 3-4 - Retreat for Widows

Thanks to you for all that you do for Jesus and His church.

Your Brothers in Jesus,
George Schmidi and Jerry Cappel
(Directors of Presentation Ministries)
