walking on tidal waves

"At about three in the morning, He came walking toward them on the lake." —Matthew 14:25

When Jesus walked on the water, He showed that He had the authority and power to "quickly crush Satan" under His feet (Rm 16:20) and to heal all diseases (see Mt 14:36). Jesus walks not just on water but on tidal waves and tempests. Because "full authority has been given" to Jesus "both in heaven and on earth" (Mt 28:18), "He is always able to save those who approach God through Him" (Heb 7:25). Jesus is the "Pantocrator," the all-powerful God (see Rv 1:8). Jesus' name is "above every other name" (Phil 2:9). Therefore, "there is no other name in the whole world given to men by which we are to be saved" (Acts 4:12).

In this long-awaited year of the Great Jubilee, in this two-thousandth anniversary of Jesus' Incarnation, give your life totally to Jesus. Accept Jesus as your Savior, Lord, and God by His standards. Worship Jesus (see Rv 5:13).

Prayer:  Father, teach me to walk on waves.

Promise:  "From them will resound songs of praise, the laughter of happy men. I will make them not few, but many; they will not be tiny, for I will glorify them." —Jer 30:19

Praise:  St. Dominic would have nothing to do with the violent means that were being employed to put down some enemies of the papacy. He instead used only instruction and prayer as his instruments of fighting.
