THE FUTURE

"By patient endurance you will save your lives." —Luke 21:19

Things have happened this year you never dreamed would happen. What does the future hold? "These things you are contemplating — the day will come when not one stone will be left on another, but it will all be torn down" (Lk 21:6). "The world as we know it is passing away" (1 Cor 7:31). "Lo, the day is coming, blazing like an oven, when all the proud and all evildoers will be stubble, and the day that is coming will set them on fire" (Mal 3:19).

"Since everything is to be destroyed in this way, what sort of men must you not be! How holy in your conduct and devotion, looking for the coming of the day of God and trying to hasten it!" (2 Pt 3:11-12) Brothers and sisters, "it is now the hour for you to wake from sleep, for our salvation is closer than when we first accepted the faith" (Rm 13:11).

"Therefore let us not be asleep like the rest, but awake and sober!" (1 Thes 5:6) The Lord promises: "For you who fear My name, there will arise the sun of justice with its healing rays" (Mal 3:20). "When these things begin to happen, stand erect and hold your heads high, for your deliverance is near at hand" (Lk 21:28).

Prayer: Lord, do anything You want so that as many as possible will be saved.
Promise: "We enjoin all such, and we urge them strongly in the Lord Jesus Christ, to earn the food they eat by working quietly." —2 Thes 3:12
Praise: Praise You, Jesus,"the Resurrection and the Life"! (Jn 11:25) Heaven and earth are full of Your glory. Alleluia!
