After receiving a second opinion, my cancer seems to be inoperable and untreatable from a medical point of view. I am still using herbal and nutritional means of dealing with cancer. This is my only option from a natural point of view. However, in my prayers, I believe the Lord will heal me and give me a miracle through your prayers. Thank God for his mercy and healing.

I have been feeling good, except for being tired. Thank you for your prayers. Keep praying. My liver cancer seems to have been in remission around the beginning of Easter, but tests show that sometime after that the liver cancer began to spread.
My surgeon has said that my cancer is inoperable; but I am seeking a second opinion. My surgeon, an oncologist, and another doctor agree that chemotherapy cannot cure me. My surgeon also tells me that freezing, burning or radiating the cancerous cells in my liver will not work for me. I have been put on a liquid diet for about two weeks to take pressure off of my liver and hopefully to stop the spread of the cancer.
The liver is the largest organ of the body, and it can regenerate itself. Therefore, there is a good chance I will recover from this illness by the grace of God and your prayers. Thanks for your continued prayers at this important time.
NOTE: To date we have had over
600 people sign the spiritual bouquet.
Thank you so much for your prayers!
March 1, 2002 - Letter from Fr. Al Lauer
Thank you for your love, prayers, and kindness during my hospitalization and recuperation. By the grace of God and your prayers, my surgeon removed both a benign tumor and a cancerous one blocking my colon. The surgeon believes I am free of cancer in the colon. However, I have a few cancerous cells in the liver. At this point, it cannot be known whether I am being healed as these cells decrease or whether my condition will worsen as these cells increase. Therefore, Archbishop Pilarcyk and my doctor have ordered me to significantly cut back my work for the next few months so that I will have the best nutrition, exercise, and rest.
As I take further natural treatments and have a CAT scan, it is very important for you to pray for me frequently, even daily. I pray for my healing in the following way: A "Glory Be" followed by the prayer
