Dear Brother or Sister in Christ:
Praise Jesus, the Prince of Peace! Thank you for your steadfastness in serving Christ in the midst of the trying circumstances around us. By reading and sharing God’s word in One Bread One Body, you are helping to build Christ’s Kingdom here on earth. In responding to our Special Appeal last fall and throughout the year, you have been a source of inspiration and encouragement to us as we strive to fulfill the far-reaching vision that the Holy Spirit gave to Father Al Lauer, our founder.
Our many ministries continue to increase and affect many lives as we offer God’s Word “even to the ends of the earth.” Your sacrificial donations, both large and small, make it possible for us have our materials available in the USA, foreign countries, and globally via the Internet. The Lord continues to use these resources to touch lives and change hearts. Progress has been slow as we made changes in the basic computer program that enables our ministry to send out our books and materials. The Gospel is also being proclaimed through radio broadcasts, the Bible telephone line, and the Guadalupe Bible College.
The annual Bible Institute was powerfully anointed by the Holy Spirit. The speakers, the teachers, the participants, and all who served were astonished at the way that the Holy Spirit continues to exceed all expectations. Please pray that this ministry can continue its good work even though the donations received did not meet our expenses this year.
The Paul Jansen Discipleship Retreat Center offers seminars that deepen one’s commitment to Christ. This ministry needs a large infusion of funds in order to complete the building project. When finished, the discipleship center will include a Chapel, meeting rooms, and residence rooms to accommodate about 80 participants. Work cannot go forward until sufficient funds are available to finish the job. Our original building permit has expired and in order to obtain a new permit, changes must be made to meet current codes. Please pray that God’s will and His timing will be perfect for this undertaking.
All of our teachers, editors, office personnel, mailing crews, and those who maintain the buildings – whether they give a few hours or work full time – are VOLUNTEERS. No one is paid. We retain the policy of providing our materials and resources, even the retreats and Bible Institute, for a free-will offering.
Every effort is made to control expenses and to find the most efficient way to respond to your requests. Since the cost of postage, shipping, and printing have greatly increased, our expenses have risen considerably while our donations have not. Please continue to pray for all of our needs. Pray especially for uninterrupted leadership for each of the ministries and for new committed workers. Any offering you can give now or in the future in support of our ministries enables us to continue our mission in serving the Lord and His Church. May the Lord bless you and all your loved ones in the coming holy seasons of Advent and Christmas.
