WEEKEND & WEEKDAY SEMINARS

WEEKEND SEMINARS

THE LIGHT OF CHRIST: REVEALED THROUGH COMMUNITY

How do we combat the crisis of faith that we are seeing all around us? Satan has poured out his evils — lies, murders, and much more on our unsuspecting world. But you don't need to be in the dark. Jesus tells us, "I am the light of the world. Whoever follows Me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life." (Jn 8:12) "The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it." (Jn 1:5)

This seminar will reveal the way that the Lord moves through the mystery of community. Each of us is to be a reflection of the light of Christ and when we join together, our light is magnified and shines brightly giving great glory to God and hope to those around us.

This seminar requires two days —Mon, July 27 & Tues, July 28.

PROPHECY: THE NOW WORD OF GOD
The gift to be sought above all others is the gift of prophecy. Do you understand the great scope of this gift — and how it is to be used in our daily lives? This seminar requires two days —Mon, July 27 & Tues, July 28.

THE LIGHT OF FAITH
How do we combat the crisis of faith that we are seeing all around us? This seminar will bring God's light and His truth to the dark places that the world has accepted as truth, even calling it freedom. In reality, it brings us into slavery and despair. But don't give up! The light of Christ is ours and brings us freedom and hope. This seminar requires two days —Wed, July 29 and Thurs, July 30.

DISCOVERING YOUR SPIRITUAL GIFTS

This seminar requires two days — Thurs, July 30 and Fri, July 31.

NEW TESTAMENT BOOKS: OUR FAITH STORY
The New Testament is the greatest narrative ever written centering around our faith history and the coming of the God-Man, Jesus Christ. It contains twenty-seven books including the four gospels, the Acts of Apostles, twenty-one epistles, and the book of Revelation. This seminar will give you an overview of these books and an appreciation of their message. — Thurs, July 30 and Fri, July 31.

TO HEAL AS JESUS HEALS
We ourselves, our families, neighborhoods, workplaces, and parishes are in need of healing and freedom in Jesus. Is the Holy Spirit calling you to minister His healing to those who are ill, hurt, and brokenhearted? This seminar requires two days — Thurs, July 30 and Fri, July 31.

UNRAVELING THE MYSTERY OF THE OLD TESTAMENT
Have you often wondered about some of the events that occurred in the Old Testament or been confused about its message? We cannot judge the people of those times by the same standards we would use today. Their spiritual resources were very limited. Yet, the Lord loved them and used them to prepare for His Son. This seminar will open your eyes to this amazing, rich, and prophetic work that God has given to us! This seminar requires one day — Tues, July 28.

ATTACK THE GATES OF HELL!
Jesus promised that we, the Church, would attack the gates of hell and win the victory over Satan. By clothing ourselves with the full armor of God — that is, Jesus Christ, we will overcome the enemy. This seminar requires one day — Wed, July 29.

CHRISTIAN LEADERSHIP IN THE WORLD TODAY
A spiritual leader often looks different than other worldly leaders. This type of leadership is a gift from the Holy Spirit and is very needed in our culture. Are you called to be a leader for the kingdom of God? This seminar requires one day — Wed, July 29.

A SAINT FOR OUR TIME: ST FAUSTINA KOWALSKA

Community is one of the most misunderstood facets of Christianity — while at the same time being the vehicle that brings power and enthusiasm to the faith. Make your home a lighthouse for Christ! This seminar requires one day — Fri, July 31.

HOW DO WE HEAR GOD?
How do we recognize the voice of God in our noisy culture? The Lord speaks to us through prayer, His word, other people, and events. This program will help you distinguish God's message to you. This seminar requires one day — Fri, July 31.

YOUTH SEMINAR: WALK IN THE LIGHT OF CHRIST
Chris Padgett will present a day designed to challenge young people to walk the narrow road with Christ. He uses his awesome music and message to speak the truth in love -- all in the power of the Holy Spirit. There are two paths ahead -- which path will you take? Will you leave the world behind or will you give in to Satan's plan for your life? The day will include music, praise, worship, group activities and discussion.

WORSHIP

The spirit of worship at the Bible Institute is an important part of the nine days. Bill Richart and Angie Myer and Friends, will be among those who will lead us in worship. Also, our very gifted Presentation Music Ministry provides worship and praise at our liturgies. Many gifted and dedicated people are a part of this ministry — including Paul Egan, Marianne Lander, Dave Willig and Nathanael Egan. Younger members of Presentation continue to come forward in service to the Lord through music and worship. The Holy Spirit's gifts are used in amazing ways to bring us into worship and an awareness of the Lord's presence.
