CHRIS PADGETT will be the guest presenter for the youth seminar, Walk in the Light of Christ. For over a decade, Chris has been using music and message to spread the truth of Christʼs love and forgiveness in a way that makes a difference.
A brilliant songwriter, musician, speaker and worship leader, Chris Padgett travels around the world giving talks, missions and concerts. He entered the Roman Catholic Church on Easter of 1999 and says that this was one of the most amazing adventures of his life.
He is blessed with an amazing wife, Linda, whom he met in high school and they have nine children. He graduated in May of 2006 with an M.A. in theology from Franciscan University.
Chris will also offer the seminar for weekend two, The Light of Christ: Revealed in His Mercy.
BILL RICHART, a very gifted teacher and worship leader, thanks the power of the Lord for the many ways that He has worked in his life even through many illnesses and difficulties. He will be ministering at the Bible Institute on Monday, July 27 with an evening of healing praise in the Bellarmine Chapel. He will also be presenting the two-day seminar — Practical Evangelization (Monday, July 27 and Tues July 28).
Deacon Ralph Poyo, the founder of New Evangelization Ministries of Steubenville Ohio, has experienced for himself the Lord’s transforming power. He will be the presider for adoration on Thursday evening, July 30.
MOST REVEREND JOSEPH R. BINZER will join us to celebrate the Eucharistic Liturgy on Sunday July 26 at 2:30 PM in Bellarmine Chapel. He was appointed auxiliary Bishop of Cincinnati in April of 2011. He is a native of Cincinnati and served as Chancellor of the Archdiocese for several years.
FATHER ROB JACK is currently an instructor of Theology at Mt. St. Mary’s Seminary. He will be presenting the seminar, Devotion to Mary and the Apostolic Life, on Tuesday, July 28. By considering several of the devotions to Mary, we will come to a deeper appreciation of her special role.
YOUTH GROUP PRESENTS: THE BOOK OF JOB
Presentation Ministries' young people will present the musical play, The Book of Job. This play is based on the story of Job as if it took place in modern times. If you have been to one of the plays in the past, you know the talent, quality, and dedication that go into these productions.
The many young people who take part in the musical are talented, enthusiastic and committed to the Lord. Many consider the play to be the highlight of the Institute. Be sure to come and join us for this awe-inspiring theatrical production. The play will be offered Sunday evening at 7:30 PM in Xavier's GSC Theater in the lower level of the Gallagher Building. There will be a second performance at a date to be announced.
FATHER CHRIS CLAY, the Pastor at St. Paul Parish in Lexington, Kentucky, will be the main celebrant for the joyful opening Eucharistic Liturgy at the Bible Institute on Friday, July 24 at 7:30 PM. Come and join us!
FATHER DAVID ENDRES is currently the Co-Director of Field Education at Mount St. Mary’s Seminary and an anointed teacher of the Gospel. He will be teaching in several seminars including The Light of Faith, Unraveling the Mystery of the Old Testament, and others. Make plans to join us for his inspiring yet clear and riveting presentations.
MANY PRIESTS take part in the Bible Institute in many capacities. We are very blessed to have priests from all over the Cincinnati Archdiocese and the Covington Diocese to celebrate daily Mass. Nine or ten priests will be available to help in offering the Sacrament of Reconcilation. Thank the Lord for these dedicated men of God!
ALSO, MANY GIFTED LAY PEOPLE teach at the Bible Institute. Presentation Ministries through the guidance of its founder, Father Al Lauer, has equipped lay people to use their spiritual gifts to minister to others. More than forty lay people use their spiritual gifts to teach or moderate at the Bible Institute. They model the way in which the Holy Spirit can use ordinary lay people for His service.
Chris Padgett will present a day designed to challenge young people to walk the narrow road with Christ. He uses his awesome music and message to speak the truth in love -- all in the power of the Holy Spirit. There are two paths ahead -- which path will you take? Will you leave the world behind or will you give in to Satan's plan for your life? The day will include music, praise, worship, group activities and discussion.
** Youth Day Requirements **
To insure that all get the benefit of the seminar:
An adult chaperone will be required for each ten teens (for example, a youth leader bringing 15 teens would need two adults.) Parents can join with other families in order to supply chaperones.
When you register, indicate your age and the name of your chaperone and their phone number. A separate registration form is needed for each attendee and must be signed by their chaperone and one of their parents.
Also, upon receiving your registration, we will forward to you a parental consent form that must be in our hands by July 26th. (You can also download the consent form on our website.)
No children under 13 can be accepted. Only pre-registered persons (13-19) and their chaperones may attend the program which goes from 10 AM through 4:00 PM. People will not be permitted to wander in and out of the seminar.
