Location, Travel, Housing & Meals

XAVIER UNIVERSITY

The Bible Institute is held on the campus of Xavier University, which is centrally located in the Cincinnati area. A map of the campus will be sent with the acknowledgement of your registration. Parking permits will be required to park in the Xavier campus parking lots this year.

DIRECTIONS

GPS Address: 1625 Herald Avenue, Cincinnati, OH 45207

Via Interstate 75 South

  1. From Interstate 75 south, take Exit 7 for State Route 562 east.
  2. Use Exit 2 for U.S. Route 42/Reading Road and turn right at the end of the ramp.
  3. Turn left at the third traffic signal for Victory Parkway.
  4. Turn left at Dana Avenue and turn left at the first traffic signal for St. Francis Xavier Way.
  5. Follow to Herald Avenue. Cross Herald to enter parking lot.

Via Interstate 75 North and Interstate 74

  1. From Interstate 75 north, take Exit 6 for Mitchell Avenue. Turn right at the base of the ramp.
  2. OR From Interstate 74 east, take Interstate 75 south for Exit 6 for Mitchell Avenue. Turn left at the base of the ramp.
  3. Follow Mitchell Avenue to Clinton Springs Avenue. Turn left and follow to Dana Avenue.
  4. Continue on Dana Avenue and turn left at the first traffic signal past Victory Parkway for St. Francis Xavier Way.
  5. Turn left and follow to Herald Avenue. Cross Herald to enter parking lot.

Via Interstate 71

  1. From Interstate 71 north, take Exit 5 for Dana Avenue/Montgomery Road. Follow signage to Xavier University.
  2. From Dana Avenue, turn right onto Montgomery Road.
  3. Turn left onto Cleneay Avenue (which changes to Herald). Entrance to the parking lot is .3 mile on the right.

PARKING

Parking permits will be needed to park on campus lots. Please checkmark appropriate box on Registration Form. A map of the campus and your parking permit will be sent with the acknowledgement of your registration. (Parking permits will also be available at the Registration Desk, if necessary.)

HOUSING

Housing is available this year in Bishop Fenwick Place on campus. The building is set up with air-conditioned suites which include a common living area and 3 to 4 bedrooms sharing two bathrooms. Most accommodations are double occupancy with very few single rooms available. Individual suites are not equipped with small refrigerators or microwaves. However, there are small microwaves and refrigerators in nearby lounges, and one common large refrigerator down the hall.

Classrooms will be in Hailstone Hall across the green space from Bishop Fenwick Place. All locations are within walking distance and golf carts will be available again this year for shuttling those in need of assistance.

** REGISTRATION REGULATIONS **

Due to Xavier University's policy, we must require a $100.00 non-refundable deposit for each person registering for housing. (A few scholarships for a portion of the $100 fee are available.) If you wish to use the Xavier Housing facility, you need to make your plans early and send in your registration by July 5 with the required deposit. There are hotels and motels nearby, such as the Quality Inn and Comfort Inn & Suites as alternative housing.

Check In Options

Check in at the Registration Desk in Hailstone Hall. However, on Friday, July 25th and Sunday, July 27th, for your convenience, there is an additional Registration Desk in the Fenwick Building where you can get room assignments, keys, etc.

MEALS

Since we are housed in the Bishop Fenwick Building, there are no small refrigerators or microwaves in the suites. Nearby lounges have small microwaves and small refrigerators. The Hoff Dining Commons is a state-of-the-art dining facility which will offer meals that have been pre-ordered. They have a variety of dishes to suit many different appetites and are located in the same building as the housing. Therefore, it may be to your advantage to order meals in the up-to-date dining facility.

Beginning on Saturday, July 26 through Saturday, Aug 2, meals will be available for your selection. The breakfast is being offered at $6.25 per person. Lunch at $8.50 will include a great selection of entrees, soups, sandwiches, a salad bar, desserts, and more. Dinner ($9.50) will be available on only one day — Sunday July 27 as indicated since we must meet a minimum of 100. Because breakfast will be available in the Dining Hall (if you pre-order it), there will be no hospitality breakfast items available in the dorm as we have offered in the past.

Checkmark all the appropriate areas on the Registration Form. Make checks for meals payable to Mary Handermann and mail with your Registration Form to: Presentation Ministries, 5442 Boutique Ct., Cincinnati, OH 45238. All meals must be ordered and paid in advance by July 5 — no refunds will be made after that date. Swipe cards will be used for meals and only pre-ordered meals will be available. Your can pick up your card at the Registration Desk upon arrival.

Other possibilities for meals are restaurants on nearby Montgomery Road or take-out delivery options. A campus food court in the Gallagher Student Center has a Blue Gibbon (Chinese), Andy’s Mediterranean, Subway and Coffee Emporium. However, the summer hours are very limited, especially on weekends. Currita Burrito is located in Bishop Fenwick Place.
