WEEKEND & WEEKDAY SEMINARS

WEEKEND SEMINARS

WHEN THE TRUMPET SOUNDS, ANSWER THE CALL!

Nehemiah 4:14 tells us – "Wherever you hear the trumpet sound, join us there; our God will fight with us." Yes, the trumpet is sounding right now to summon all of God's people to fight with Him for the victory over Satan and his plans for the destruction of believers. Are you prepared to join the battle?

Pope John Paul II told us that complacency and lethargy are not acceptable in this urgent time in which we live. Are you called to be a prominent part of the army of Christ? Come and receive the equipping and training you need to be an effective soldier for Jesus.

You can be a part of the New Evangelization that is sweeping through the Catholic Church at this unique time in history. Answer God's call to be salt and light, to put out into the deep, and to speak the truth in love.

"Now is the acceptable time. Now is the day of Salvation." (2 Cor 6:2) Martha Fernandez-Sardina will be the guest speaker for this seminar as she shares Scripture, papal insights, and her experience in evangelizing like Jesus with great love — to every person and nation.

DISCOVERING YOUR SPIRITUAL GIFTS
Are you looking for solutions to the problems and chaos that surround us? Christ left us with the resources to fight and build a different civilization — one of love and life — not of death and disaster. Thirty spiritual gifts are mentioned in the Scriptures — gifts like healing, hospitality, and discernment. Open your eyes to the spiritual realities of God's Kingdom! This seminar requires two days — Thurs, July 31 and Fri, Aug 1.

OLD TESTAMENT HISTORICAL BOOKS: OUR SALVATION HISTORY

TO HEAL AS JESUS HEALS
We ourselves, our families, neighborhoods, workplaces, and parishes are in need of healing and freedom in Jesus. Is the Holy Spirit calling you to minister His healing to those who are ill, hurt, and brokenhearted? This seminar requires two days — Thurs, July 31 and Fri, Aug 1.

FACING REALITY: LIVING IN THE TRUTH
God has given us His Holy Spirit who teaches us "describing spiritual realities in spiritual terms" (1 Cor 2:13). Learn how to face reality and open the door to God's plan. The key is in knowing and facing reality — not escaping from it. This seminar requires one day — Mon, July 28.

LEADING YOUR LOVED ONES TO CHRIST
If you are brokenhearted because your loved ones don't know the Lord, this seminar will give you encouragement and hope. It will teach you how to use your gifts to impact the lives of your loved ones. This seminar requires one day —Mon, July 28.

PRACTICAL EVANGELIZATION
Bill Richart will offer a one-day workshop on a very concrete method of evangelization. He has taught this process at the Center for Evangelization and is excited about doing it at the Bible Institute. This seminar requires one day —Mon, July 28.

This day will include teaching and witness from those using the gifts in practical ways. This seminar requires one day — Mon, July 28.

ACTS OF THE APOSTLES: LIVING THE FAITH
The book of Acts is often overlooked when we study Scripture for inspiration. In fact, it is very enlightening to see how the apostles and early followers operated in the power of the Holy Spirit in guiding the day-to-day community life in the early Church. Their insight has application in today's world. This seminar requires one day — Tues, July 29.

ADVANCED PRAISE AND WORSHIP
Returning to the Bible Institute, Bill Richart will offer a follow-up program on ministering through praise and worship. This seminar requires one day — Tues, July 29.

MARY IN THE WRITINGS OF THE SAINTS
Father Rob Jack offers this day on the Virgin Mary who is called Queen of the Saints. It is the Saints who through their works and holy lives teach us how to be Marian Christians. This seminar requires one day — Tues, July 29.

VICTORY IN SPIRITUAL WARFARE
Have you been battling the evil one as he seeks to stop you from serving the Lord in ministry? Perhaps, you or your family have been under attack and you wish to learn how to overcome his tactics. This seminar will empower you to live the victory that Christ has won. This seminar requires one day — Tues, July 29.

DOCTORS OF THE CHURCH: ST. TERESA OF AVILA
St. Teresa is one of only three women that have been given the title of "Doctor of the Church." Although in frail health, she served the Lord with enthusiasm and a sense of humor. Her writings on the mystical life are regarded as treasures of the Church. Don't miss this one-day seminar. This seminar requires one day — Wed, July 30.

LIVING IN HOPE: FIGHTING FOR LIFE AND LIBERTY
As Catholics and Christians we are surrounded by Satan's lies and lifestyle. However, the Lord has provided truth and clarity for us through His Church and His Word. Don't be deceived by the falsehoods put forth by the enemies of our faith. Stand firm. This seminar requires one day — Wed, July 30.

SAY NOT I AM TOO OLD
When we look to the Scriptures, we see that very often the Lord called men and women to His service later in life — for example, Abraham, Sarah, and Moses. Come to hear how others are serving God today in powerful ways even in their later years. This seminar requires one day — Wed, July 30.

SEEKING PROPHECY & DISCERNMENT FOR YOUR LIFE
How do you recognize the Lord's voice in the midst of the noise and lies of our culture? God does speak to us very clearly if we have the spiritual ears to hear and the wise hearts to understand. This seminar requires one day — Wed, July 30.

CHRISTIAN LEADERSHIP IN THE WORLD TODAY
A spiritual leader often looks different than other worldly leaders. This type of leadership is a gift from the Holy Spirit and is very needed in our culture. Are you are called to be a leader for the kingdom of God? This seminar requires one day — Thurs, July 31.

THE GIFT OF INTERCESSION
Pope John Paul II said that "prayer and fasting are the first and most effective weapons against the forces of evil" (Gospel of Life, 100). Learn how to be a prayer warrior in the army of Christ. WORSHIP

The spirit of worship at the Bible Institute is an important part of the nine days. Bill Richart, Craig Johnson, and Angie Myer and Friends, will be among those who will lead us in worship. Also, our very gifted Presentation Music Ministry provides worship and praise at our liturgies. Many gifted and dedicated people are a part of this ministry — including Paul Egan, Marianne Lander, Dave Willig and Nathanael Egan. Younger members of Presentation continue to come forward in service to the Lord through music and worship. The Holy Spirit's gifts are used in amazing ways to bring us into worship and an awareness of the Lord's presence.
