ARMED WITH THE POWER OF THE HOLY SPIRIT

The Lord did not leave us defenseless to face our enemies, our problems, anxieties, and concerns. He pours out His Holy Spirit on us without limit -- "good measure, packed together, shaken down, and overflowing" (Lk 6:38). He gives us His spiritual gifts, the Scriptures, the Eucharist, and the Church to empower us for the warfare that we face every day.

(Acts 1:8) This seminar requires three days — Mon, Jul 28, Tues, Jul 29 and Wed, Jul 30.

TO HEAL AS JESUS HEALS
We ourselves, our families, neighborhoods, workplaces, and parishes are in need of healing and freedom in Jesus. Is the Holy Spirit calling you to minister His healing to those who are ill, hurt, and brokenhearted? "The sick upon whom they lay their hands will recover" (Mk 16:18). This seminar requires three days — Mon, Jul 28, Tues, Jul 29, and Wed, Jul 30.

BIBLE TIMELINE: JOURNEY THROUGH THE SCRIPTURES
A study of Salvation History beginning with Creation and ending with Jesus and His Church will be offered in a three-day workshop. As you plot your individual timeline, you will gain an overall picture of God's design as outlined in the Bible. This seminar requires three days — Wed, Jul 30 through Fri, Aug 1.

DISCIPLESHIP 101: BUILDING THE FOUNDATION
Have you made a commitment to Christ but feel there is something more? Do you want to learn and experience how to build your life on the "Rock" of Christ? This three-day seminar will give you the inspiration and resources to grow in the life of a disciple and to also encourage others in their journey. This seminar requires three days — Wed, Jul 30 through Fri, Aug 1.

 

TWO-DAY SEMINARS

BIBLICAL LEADERSHIP: THE SERVANT OF SERVANTS
The gift of leadership is a call to serve -- to serve Christ and one another. As a disciple each of us is called to lead in some ways and to follow in some ways. Leaders are critically needed in order to further the Kingdom of God. "Come, follow me" (Mt 19:21). Answer the Lord's call to serve. This seminar requires two days — Mon, July 28 and Tues, July 29.

PRAISE AND WORSHIP: STANDING IN THE GLORY
The Lord inhabits the praises of His people! Don't miss Bill Richart, a powerful Worship Leader, as he opens your eyes to the spiritual possibilities that come about through praise, worship and glory. Leadership is not about "leading" but rather discerning what the Spirit is doing and getting out of the way. This seminar is not limited to worship leaders, but it is a "must" for leaders of prayer groups and others who minister through worship. "My soul will glory in the Lord " (Ps 34:3). This seminar requires two days — Mon, Jul 28 and Tues, Jul 29.

Jesus looks at you with love and wants to bring you healing, freedom, and joy. This seminar presented by Father Bill McCarthy and team will allow you to live the victorious life that the Lord has promised you.. This seminar requires two days — Thurs, July 31 and Fri, Aug 1.

GOD'S PLAN OF LOVE — THE PEARL OF GREAT PRICE
Jesus through the Church has given us "the pearl of great price," the teaching on "man considered whole and entire" as the key to the truth it sets out in the Compendium of Social Doctrine. Thus the work of Christ is carried out under the lead of the Holy Spirit. This tremendous document will inspire you with God's perfect plan of love for your life. "When he finds a pearl of great price, he goes and sells all he has and buys it" (Mt 13:46). This seminar requires two days — Thurs, July 31 and Fri, Aug 1.

GROWTH & MATURITY IN THE SPIRIT: ROOTS, SHOOTS, & FRUIT
Have you been growing in your commitment to Christ but want to take that relationship to a deeper level? This two-day seminar will enable you to grow in intimacy with God and in the power of the Holy Spirit. It will lead you in the steps to maturity and open your spiritual vision to the process of bearing fruit for God's Kingdom. 2:42). This seminar requires two days — Thurs, Jul 31 and Fri, Aug 1.

 

ONE-DAY SEMINARS

DO YOU REJECT SATAN? VICTORY IN SPIRITUAL WARFARE
Do you know that you are in a spiritual battle? Satan is real. He is a fallen angel bent on our destruction. However, Jesus has already won the war and we can join in this victory. Learn to recognize the spiritual realities and to use the weapons God has given us. "Put on the armor of God" (Eph 6:11). This seminar requires one day — Mon, Jul 28.

THE LIFE AND WORKS OF ST. PAUL
Pope Benedict XVI has set aside a year dedicated to St. Paul beginning June 29, 2008 in preparation for the 2000th anniversary of his birth. After St. Paul's conversion on the road to Damascus, he became one of the Church's foremost evangelizers, first among Jews, then among Gentiles. Come and learn more about this astounding apostle and his inspired writings! This seminar requires one day — Mon, July 28.

BLESSED VIRGIN MARY: OUR LIFE, OUR SWEETNESS, AND OUR HOPE
Mary is our "sure hope" as we live out our Christian lives. She has gone before us and stands ever ready to guide and help us in our journey to her Son. Father Rob Jack will present this encouraging seminar on Mary. This seminar requires one day — Tues, Jul 29.

THE GIFT OF INTERCESSION
Pope John Paul II said that "prayer and fasting are the first and most effective weapons against the forces of evil" (Gospel of Life, 100). Learn how to be a prayer warrior in the army of Christ. "The fervent prayer of a holy person is powerful indeed" (Jas 5:16). This seminar requires one day — Tues, July 29.

CLOTHED WITH POWER (FOR PRIESTS ONLY)
Come and enjoy a time of encouragement, empowerment, and fellowship for priests, lead by Father Bill McCarthy. The seminar will start at 10:15 AM with the Eucharistic Liturgy and will include some teaching and sharing. A boxed lunch will be provided. "Remain ... until you are clothed with power from on high" (Lk 24:49). This seminar requires only a partial day — Wed, Jul 30.

THE GIFT OF PROPHECY
How do you recognize the Lord's voice in the midst of the noise and lies of our culture? God does speak to us very clearly if we have the spiritual ears to hear and the wise hearts to understand. The gifts of prophecy is being poured out on men and women of faith. "Set your hearts on spiritual gifts... above all, the gift of prophecy" (1 Cor 14:1). This seminar requires one day — Wed, July 30.

SINGLE FOR THE LORD
Do you often feel that people do not appreciate your vocation to be "single for the Lord?" Those who answer this call in order to serve God are like the angels in heaven. This seminar will offer the insight and encouragement to live your life fully for the Lord in the power of the Holy Spirit. "... they neither marry nor are given in marriage, but they are like the angels in heaven" (Mk 12:25). This seminar requires one day — Wed, July 30.

GETTING TO KNOW THE GUADALUPE BIBLE COLLEGE
"Live according to what you have learned and accepted..."(Phil 4:9) This program is for those interested in learning more about being either a student or teacher (home study or classroom) for Guadalupe Bible College. This seminar requires one day — Fri, Aug 1.

YOUTH CHALLENGE: DARE TO BE DIFFERENT!
An exciting and challenging day is planned for young people. Music, teaching, skits, large and small group activities, fellowship and time to share are all a part of this special day. You don't want to miss this opportunity to stand up for Christ. This program will be offered on Friday, August 1.

WORSHIP

The spirit of worship at the Bible Institute is an important part of the nine days. Bill Richart, Our Lady of Victory Men's Fellowship Group, Angie Meyer and Friends will be among those who will lead us in worship. Also, our very gifted Presentation Music Ministry provides worship and praise at our liturgies. Many gifted and dedicated people are a part of this ministry — including Paul Egan, Marianne Lander, Dave Willig, Elizabeth Egan, and Lucas Hennessey. The Holy Spirit is also anointing younger members of Presentation Ministry for worship through music. The Lord uses each of these gifted people in amazing ways to bring us into an awareness of His presence.
