BE NOT AFRAID: BEHOLD THE PIERCED ONE!

Be not afraid! These words echo in the pages of the Scripture. During the papacy of John Paul II, he encouraged us to both "Be not afraid!" and "put out into the deep, and lower your nets for a catch" (Lk 5:4). Come and join us as we learn how to overcome the bad news by sharing the Good News.

FEED MY SHEEP: THE MISSION

"You will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you, and you will be my witnesses... to the ends of the earth" (Acts1:8). These are the words of Jesus to the disciples immediately before He ascended into heaven. These are the same words He speaks to us today.

Jim "Butch" Murphy will both encourage and empower you to accept the mission Christ handed on to us to "Feed My sheep" (Jn 21:17). Answer His call — come and receive the mantle of discipleship. Bishop Carl Moeddel and Father Christopher Armstrong will also speak in the Eucharistic liturgies as indicated below.

FOUR-DAY SEMINARS

HOW TO TEACH THE BIBLE IN THE POWER OF THE HOLY SPIRIT
Do you love God's Word and want to share it with others? This amazing four-day seminar will give you the tools and confidence needed to teach the Bible in small groups. Presentation has seen hundreds of people who are now teaching in many different settings. You can join their numbers. "Faith, then, comes through hearing, and what is heard is the word of Christ" (Rm 10:17). This seminar requires four days — Mon, Jul 24 through Thurs, Jul 27.

APOLOGETICS: DEFENDING THE FAITH
Father Bill McCarthy will present this three-day seminar which will help you build a firm foundation in understanding and defending your Catholic faith. It will give you the tools and resources to be able to stand up for your beliefs. The seminar requires three days — Mon, Jul 24, Tues, July 25, and Wed, July 26.

THE GIFT OF HEALING
We ourselves, our families, neighborhoods, workplaces, and parishes are in need of healing and freedom in Jesus. Is the Holy Spirit calling you to minister His healing to those who are ill, hurt, and brokenhearted? "The sick upon whom they lay their hands will recover" (Mk 16:18). This seminar requires three days — Mon, Jul 24, Tues, Jul 25, and Wed, Jul 26.

LIFE IN THE SPIRIT SEMINAR
Is God calling you to a new depth in your relationship with Christ in the power of the Spirit? Are you searching for something more? Do you have a thirst that has not been satisfied? THE CATECHISM: SECTION 3 LIFE IN CHRIST

The Catechism of the Catholic Church is a wonderful gift given to the Church in order to provide understanding of the richness, beauty, and splendor of our faith. This three-day seminar will look at Section 3 entitled Life in Christ. It will explore the dignity of the human person, relationship with God, and the importance of the family and the Church community. Don't miss this opportunity to grow in faith. This seminar requires three days — Wed, Jul 26, Thurs, Jul 27, and Fri, July 28.

Weekday Schedule Monday, Tuesday & Thursday classes begin at 9:00 AM and end at 4:45 PM with Eucharistic Liturgy at 10:15 AM. Wednesday classes begin at 8:45 AM and end at 4:45 PM with Eucharistic Liturgy at 10:00 AM. Friday classes begin at 10:00 AM ending about 4:45 PM. The Eucharistic Liturgy will be in the evening at 7:30 PM.

TWO-DAY SEMINARS

PRAISE AND WORSHIP: STANDING IN THE GLORY
The Lord inhabits the praises of His people! Don't miss Bill Richart, a powerful Worship Leader, as he opens your eyes to the spiritual possibilities that come about through praise, worship and glory. Leadership is not about "leading" but rather discerning what the Spirit is doing and getting out of the way. This seminar is not limited to worship leaders, but it is a "must" for leaders of prayer groups and others who minister through worship. "My soul will glory in the Lord " (Ps 34:3). This seminar requires two days — Mon, Jul 24 and Tues, Jul 25.

PROPHECY AND DISCERNMENT
How do you hear the Lord in the midst of confusion and falsehood? God does speak to us very clearly if we have the spiritual ears to hear and the wise hearts to understand. The gifts of prophecy and discernment are much needed and are being poured out on men and women of faith. "Set your hearts on spiritual gifts — above all, the gift of prophecy" (1 Cor 14:1). This seminar requires two day — Mon, July 24 and Tues, July 25.

BE NOT AFRAID — COME, FOLLOW ME
Fear seems to be an epidemic in our culture today. The Bible repeatedly tells us that fear is useless. What is needed is trust — trust in God. Come and learn how to overcome your fears and live a life of confidence and peace in the sure knowledge of Christ. His message to "Come, Follow Me" is one of hope and challenge to be all that we can be. This seminar requires two days — Thurs, July 27 and Fri, July 28.

BIBLE TIMELINE: JOURNEY THROUGH THE SCRIPTURES
A study of Salvation History beginning with Creation and ending with Jesus and His Church will be offered in this two-day workshop. As you plot your individual timeline, you will gain an overall picture of God's design as outlined in the Bible. This seminar requires two days — Thurs, Jul 27 and Fri, Jul 28.

CHRISTIAN COMMUNITY: THE SHELTER IN THE STORM
The best kept secret of living a victorious Christian life is the gift of community. Whether you are already in a small community or are thinking about it, this seminar is for you. Learn how the Holy Spirit uses other brothers and sisters to encourage, defend, and minister to one another. Community with other Christians is not an option, but a necessity. "They devoted themselves to the Apostles' instruction, the communal life..." (Acts 2:42). This seminar requires two days — Thurs, Jul 27 and Fri, Jul 28.

DISCOVERING YOUR SPIRITUAL GIFTS
Are you looking for solutions to the problems and chaos that surround us? Christ did not leave us without the resources to fight and build a different civilization — one of love and life — not of death and disaster. Thirty spiritual gifts are mentioned in the Scriptures — gifts like teaching, healing, hospitality, and discernment. This course will open your eyes to the spiritual realities of God's Kingdom in today's world. "Set your hearts on spiritual gifts" (1 Cor 14:1). This seminar requires two days — Thurs, Jul 27 and Fri, Jul 28.

THE DOCTORS OF THE CHURCH
The history of the Catholic Church is rich with the great saints and doctors of the Church that have operated in the power of the Holy Spirit. This seminar will begin a series of teachings on the doctors of the Church and their contribution to the faith. This year, the life and gifts of Saint Therese, the Little Flower, will be explored. "...we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses..." (Heb 12:1) This seminar requires one day — Mon, July 24.

THE GIFT OF HOSPITALITY
By opening your heart, your home, and your life to others, you will serve Jesus Himself. The Lord uses us and our homes to touch and heal those who are hurting and need a place of refreshment and peace. "Here I stand, knocking at the door. If anyone ... opens the door, I will enter his house and have supper with him" (Rev 3:20). This seminar requires one day — Tues, Jul 25.

THE CHURCH UNIVERSAL: EAST & WEST
The universality of the Catholic faith encompasses churches of the East and West. Father Anthony Salim, a Maronite priest, will share with us the riches, history, liturgy, and spirituality of the churches of the East with special emphasis on the Maronite Church, whose roots go back to the early Christian community in Antioch. This seminar requires one day — Wed, July 26.

MARY, THE MODEL OF DISCIPLESHIP
Mary is the Model Disciple who will lead men and women towards the One who is the true Light, Jesus Christ. Father Rob Jack will offer this day of inspiration on Mary as we look to her to be our example in living for Christ. This seminar requires one day — Wed, Jul 26.

THE CHURCH IN AMERICA
The condition of the Church in America was addressed by Pope John Paul II and the Synod of Bishops in the document Ecclesia in America. Their prophetic vision expressing hope for the Church in America can be a model for us who seek to advance the faith. Evangelization is simply inviting others to a personal encounter with Jesus to "Come and see" (Jn 1:39). This seminar requires one day — Thurs, July 27.

GETTING TO KNOW THE GUADALUPE BIBLE COLLEGE
"Live according to what you have learned and accepted..."(Phil 4:9) This program is for those interested in learning more about being either a student or teacher (home study or classroom) for Guadalupe Bible College. This seminar requires one day — Fri, July 28.

THE GIFT OF INTERCESSION
Pope John Paul II has said that "prayer and fasting are the first and most effective weapons against the forces of evil" (Gospel of Life, 100). Learn how to be a prayer warrior in the army of Christ through the power of the Holy Spirit. "The fervent prayer of a holy person is powerful indeed" (Jas 5:16). This seminar requires one day — Fri, July 28.

RUN THE RACE FOR JESUS
Jim "Butch" Murphy will offer this powerful one-day program for young people from age 12 through 19. Come and be empowered to Run the Race for Jesus! It will be a day of openness to the Holy Spirit as music, witnessing, teaching, and much more are offered. "I have competed well; I have finished the race; I have kept the faith" (2 Tm 4:7). This seminar requires one day — Fri, July 28.

WORSHIP

Worship is an important and integral part of the Bible Institute. Bill Richart, Ria Music Ministry, and Our Lady of Victory Men's Fellowship Group will be among those who will lead us in worship. Also included is Presentation's Music Ministry which is made up of many gifted and dedicated people. Paul Egan, Marianne Lander, Dave Willig, and John Egan, along with others, have led the music in past years. The Holy Spirit is also anointing younger members of Presentation Ministry for worship through music under the leadership of Elizabeth Egan. The Lord uses them to bring us into a spirit of praise and worship at our liturgies and worship services.
