TWO-DAY SEMINARS
BIBLE TIMELINE:
JOURNEY THROUGH THE SCRIPTURES
A study of Salvation History beginning with Creation and
ending with Jesus and His Church will be offered in this two-day
workshop. As you plot your individual timeline, you will gain an overall
picture of God's design as outlined in the Bible.
This seminar requires two days Mon, Jul 25 and Tues, Jul 26. CHRISTIAN COMMUNITY TO
STRENGTHEN YOUR PARISH
The fire of the Holy Spirit is moving in establishing small
home-based communities in many places in this country and around
the world. Are you missing out on the power that is present in
living
out your spiritual brotherhood and sisterhood? Come and learn about these comunities and their impact on parishes.
"They devoted themselves to the
Apostles' instruction, the communal life,
the breaking of bread, and the prayers"
(Acts 2:42). This seminar requires two days Mon, Jul 25 and Tues, Jul 26.
PRAISE AND WORSHIP: STANDING IN THE GLORY
The Lord inhabits the praises of His people. Don't miss Bill
Richart, a powerful Worship Leader, as he opens your eyes to the
spiritual possibilities that come about through praise, worship and
glory. Leadership is not about "leading" but rather discerning what
the Spirit is doing and getting out of the way. This seminar is
not limited to worship leaders, but it is a "must" for leaders of
prayer groups and others who minister through worship. "My soul
will glory in the Lord " (Ps 34:3). This seminar requires two days
Mon, Jul 25 and Tues, Jul 26.
HOLINESS: LIFE STYLE IN THE SPIRIT
The Holy Spirit wants to lead us into a new life-style of
holiness. Matthew 6:33 tells us that if we seek the Lord's way of
holiness, He will then supply all our other needs. This seminar offers
the resources, opportunities, and encouragement to move forward.
"God chose us in Him, before the world began, to be holy
and blameless in His sight" (Eph 1:4). This seminar requires two
days Wed, July 27 and Thurs, July 28.
PSALMS: A BOOK OF PRAYER, PRAISE AND POWER
A psalm is the cry of real people in real-life situations. The
writers of the Psalms cried out to God in very human conversation
in praise and supplication in times of joy and distress. Look to
this book to gain understanding of how to recognize the movement
of the Spirit and to respond with heartfelt prayer. "I will praise
you, Lord, with all my heart" (Ps 9:2). This seminar requires two days
Wed, July 27 and Thurs, July 28.
DISCOVERING YOUR SPIRITUAL GIFTS
Are you looking for solutions to the problems and
chaos that surround us? Christ did not leave us without
the resources to fight and build a different civilization -- one of
love and life --- not of death and disaster. Thirty spiritual gifts
are mentioned in the Scriptures -- gifts like teaching, healing,
hospitality, and discernment. This course will open your eyes to
the spiritual realities of God's Kingdom in today's world. "Set
your hearts on spiritual gifts" (1 Cor 14:1). This seminar requires two days Thurs, Jul 28 and Fri, Jul 29.
PROPHESY AND DISCERNMENT
How do you hear the Lord in the midst of confusion and
falsehood? God does speak to us very clearly if we have the spiritual ears to
hear and the wise hearts to understand. The gifts of prophecy
and discernment are much needed and are being poured out on men
and women of faith. "Set your hearts on spiritual gifts above all,
the gift of prophecy" (1 Cor 14:1). This seminar requires two day
Thurs, July 28 and Fri, July 29.
ONE-DAY SEMINARS
HOW TO BE A HOLY DEFENDER
OF THE FAITH
Come and learn how to defend some of the basic beliefs of our
faith. This one-day foundational seminar takes a look at the truths of
our Catholic faith that are often misunderstood. "Should anyone
ask you the reason for this hope of yours, be ever ready to reply" (1
Pt 3:15). This seminar requires one day Wed, July 27.
AM I GOING TO HEAVEN?
This is the most important question of your life!
Jesus
tells us in the Scriptures that we are not to be
presumptuous in our beliefs. But, rather we are to be
confident
in Him -- in His redeeming love. Our trust must rely
only
in Jesus as our Savior, Lord, and God. "He wants
none
to perish but all to come to repentance" (2 Pt
3:9). This seminar requires one day Thurs, July 28.
GETTING TO KNOW THE GUADALUPE BIBLE COLLEGE
"Live according to what you have learned and accepted..."(Phil
4:9) This program is for those interested in learning more about
being either a student or teacher (home study or classroom) for
Guadalupe Bible College. This seminar requires one day Fri, July 29.
THE GIFT OF HOSPITALITY
By opening your heart, your home, and your life to others, you
will serve Jesus Himself. The Lord uses us and our homes to touch
and heal those who are hurting and need a place of refreshment
and peace. "Here I stand, knocking at the door. If anyone ... opens
the door, I will enter his house and have supper with him" (Rev
3:20). This seminar requires one day Fri, Jul 29.
THE GIFT OF INTERCESSION
Pope John Paul II has said that "prayer and fasting are the first
and most effective weapons against the forces of evil"
(Gospel of Life, 100). Learn how to be a prayer warrior in the army of Christ
through the power of the Holy Spirit. "The fervent prayer of a holy
person is powerful indeed" (Jas 5:16). This seminar requires one day Fri, July 29.
THE LAITY: THE REAL EVANGELIZERS
The laity are on the front lines of our secularized society. Learn
how to fulfill your calling from the Lord to bring light to the darkness
by sharing the gospel of Christ. "But you are a chosen race, a
royal priesthood, a holy nation..." (1 Pt 2:9). This seminar requires one day Fri, Jul 29.
USING THE CHARISMS FOR SERVICE
Spiritual gifts that we hear little about are the gifts of mercy,
service, hospitality, and helps. Yet, many ministries would flounder without
them. Rich and Daneen Gosser will bring to this seminar
their experience of the use of these gifts in practical ways. "Put your
gifts at the service of one another" (1 Pt
4:10). This seminar requires one day Fri, July 29.

WORSHIP
Worship is an important and integral part of the
Bible Institute. Some of those who will lead us in worship
include
Presentation's Music Ministry, which is
made up of many gifted and dedicated people. Paul Egan, Marianne Lander, and John Egan,
along with others, have led the music in past
years. The Holy Spirit is also anointing younger
members of Presentation Ministry for worship
through
music under the leadership of Elizabeth Egan. The Lord
uses them to bring us into a spirit of praise and worship at
our liturgies.
