JOHNNETTE BENKOVIC, the Founder and Director of Living His Life Abundantly, will
be returning as our guest speaker at the Bible Institute this year. She is well-known
for her work with EWTN in television and radio. The Abundant Life and Moments of Truth
Live are programs that give the viewer and listener inspiration for their spiritual
lives and a fuller appreciation of their Catholic faith. Johnnette is rooted in the Scriptures
and teaches clearly and powerfully the Gospel message.
Johnnette has authored several books including, Full of Grace: Women and the Abundant
Life, The New Age Counterfeit, Living Life Abundantly, and Grace Filled Moments.
She also is a dedicated and animated conference speaker and retreat master.
She has been married to her husband, Anthony, for 28 years, and is the mother
of three adult children. She will speak at the opening of the Institute on
Friday, July 25. She will also speak Saturday, July 26, and Sunday, July 27.
FATHER WADE MENEZES, C.P.M. joined the Fathers of Mercy in 1993 as
a Novice and was ordained a priest for the Community during the Great Jubilee
Year 2000. Originally coming from a large farming family in Modesto, California,
his education and background is extensive. He has been a contributing writer for
many Catholic periodicals including two homiletic series.
As his first assignment, Father Wade served as the Chaplain-in-residence at
the Shrine of the Most Blessed Sacrament of Our Lady of the Angels Monastery
in Hanceville, Alabama. He has appeared on EWTN as a guest on Mother
Angelica Live and Life on the Rock.
Father Wade will be the guest speaker for the seminar, The Rosary: Walking
With Mary in the Mysteries of Christ, which will be offered beginning on Friday,
August 1 and continuing through Saturday, August 2.
YOUTH DAY: WALKING IN THE POWER OF THE SPIRIT
Jim "Butch" Murphy is a man of prayer and vision that has focused his many
gifts in dedication of his life to Christ. He is writing the story of his
extraordinary 4,200-mile walk across America carrying a six foot cross.
His wife says she intends to hold her energetic husband to his computer
keyboard until he finishes telling how he wore out 14 pairs of shoes and
himself on an 18-month long journey of prayer and evangelization from St.
Augustine, Florida to Sonoma, California.
Jim is a big man with a big heart and his message to young people is as
unique as he is! Come to catch the excitement of the good news and to hear
his challenge to discipleship.
This one-day program for young people, aged 12 through 19, will include
straight talk, music, fellowship and time to share. It will take place Saturday,
August 2 from 9:00 AM through 5:00 PM.
MOST REVEREND DANIEL E. PILARCZYK, the Archbishop of Cincinnati since 1982, will
celebrate the opening Eucharistic Liturgy on Friday July 25 at 7:30 PM in Bellarmine Chapel.
Archbishop Pilarczyk has written many publications that have provided clarity and
direction for the faithful. Come and welcome him to this year's Institute.
MOST REVEREND CARL K. MOEDDEL was appointed the Auxiliary Bishop of
Cincinnati in 1993. He will celebrate the Eucharistic Liturgy at 2:30 PM
Sunday, July 27. Bishop Moeddel is well-recognized for his ability to
present the teachings of the Church in a powerful and compelling manner.
FATHER ROB JACK was ordained in 1992 and is currently an instructor of Theology
at Mt. St. Mary's Seminary. He will be teaching in the seminar Discipleship:
Building the Foundation on Thursday, July 31. His focus for that day will
center on Mary as the model disciple. He is known for his insight, clarity,
and energetic proclamation of the Gospel.
FATHER JOHN JUDIE is a priest of the Archdiocese of Louisville, Kentucky. He
is an anointed teacher of Scripture and preaches in a dynamic style that
opens up God's Word to you. He is also an accomplished musician and conducts
Gospel music workshops. Come on Thursday evening, July 31, and take part in
a joyful night of praise, worship, and preaching.
MARIA JOHNS has an extraordinary singing voice. and an even more extraordinary
journey of faith. She performs across the country and has recently released
the CD, "A Child of Hope." Speaking out for the Lord and life, she has been
featured on EWTN's Life on the Rock. Even in her darkest hour, Maria's hope
in God never left her. The Lord touched her life in a miraculous healing.
Thus began her ministry of being a Voice for God. Come and hear her story
and her music in concert on Wednesday evening, July 30 at this year's Bible Institute.
ST. JOHN BOSCO YOUTH GROUP MUSICAL The St. John Bosco Youth Group
of Presentation Ministries will offer the original musical Fire on
the Witness Stand, a Play in Seven "Acts" at this summer's Bible Institute.
It is the group's fourth musical, following successful productions of
Esther (1995-6), Job (1997-8), Tobit (1999-2000),
and Fire (2001). The script, music and lyrics were written by Rick
Nohle. Fire on the Witness Stand is adapted mainly from jail and
trial scenes in Acts of Apostles. It focuses on how the Father's promises
are fulfilled, and how the Holy Spirit accomplishes extraordinary things
through ordinary people. The Word of God goes forth and cannot be chained
even by the fiercest opposition. Be sure to bring a friend and catch the
"Fire."
KENNY SMITH'S PEACE & SERENITY MINISTRIES This choir has over
thirty gifted members and they are a multi-cultural and inter-denominational
ministry with members from age 12 to 87. If you haven't heard them perform,
you are in for a treat on Sunday, July 27 at 7:30 PM.
JACK AND SUE ELSAESSER from Hamilton, Ohio, have been empowered to heal in Jesus. name.
Signs and wonders have accompanied their preaching of the Gospel.
Through their ministry, many have been healed of physical,
spiritual, and emotional illnesses.
RICHARD GOSSER, D.A. is Associate Professor at St. Vincent College in
Latrobe, Pennsylvania. He is a skilled, effective, and inspiring
teacher of the Catechism and papal documents. He and his wife,
Daneen, minister in Haiti and the Dominican Republic.
RICK NOHLE is a very gifted song-writer, worship leader, and teacher
who wrote and performed the musical scores for several plays offered at
past Bible Institutes. They include Esther, Job, Tobit,
and Fire on the Witness Stand. His newest production will be outstanding.
